JoomlaDay Houston – Ready for Launch!
Hello, I’m Robbie Adair, and I’m one of the co-organizers of the first annual JoomlaDay Houston here in Texas. We are excited about the upcoming event and have a fantastic line-up of speakers. You can view the schedule and more details on the site – joomladayhouston.com.
I have been using SiteGround for both my client sites and my personal sites for years because the quality of servers and customer service is top notch! So, when we started working on JoomlaDay Houston, I thought of SiteGround immediately and was happy when they decided to come on board as a Silver Sponsor!
As a JoomlaDay Houston sponsor, SiteGround will be offering their customers some cool stuff – a free ticket giveaway and a discount coupon code for 20% off the registration fee! The coupon code is “siteground” and will be good for the entire registration period. If you want to participate in the free ticket giveaway, simply leave a comment under this blog post and let us know why you want to attend JoomlaDay Houston.
We would love to have all of you come out and join us here in Houston, Texas on Saturday October 19th at the Microsoft venue! Not only will we have a fantastic event with something for all levels, but with all the Joomla! Community people there, we will have some great networking opportunities going on as well!
Ready to register? Visit the site and sign up! Don’t forget to use your SiteGround discount!
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
Cheers,
Robbie

I would love to receive a ticket to the JoomlaDay Event this coming Saturday, October 19th at the Microsoft venue. I desperately need a Graphic Designer to Host my website as my previous Host "bailed" on me and I'm left on the creek without a paddle" so to speak. My utilization of my website is one-fourth complete and even though I have asked co-workers and friends if they know of anyone that could assist or who I could commission, it appears I have only reached "dead ends". I feel a ticket to the JoomlaDay Event would benefit me and introduce me to individuals that could possibly direct me to the right source for assistance.

Wow, Connie - you're fast :) Congrats for getting the free pass for JoomlaDay Houston! Details via email sent. Enjoy!

I've known for some time that the single best thing a budding, new citizen of Joomla!nd can do is reach out to its rich and vibrant community. Regrettably, a good many community events have been in far-flung places well beyond my reach. A free ticket to Joomla!Day Houston -- literally in my backyard this time, no less -- would be Christmas in October. With so much to love and learn, I have to believe that pressing flesh with the brilliant minds behind some of the most powerful Joomla! extensions and services that have made my life so much easier is a priceless gift, for which I would be most grateful.

Hey Chima! Thanks for dropping by - unfortunately we only have one free ticket to give away. The good news though is that as a partner of the event we have a special 20% discount for our clients. Just use the coupon code "siteground" without the quotation marks to get the discount. Cheers!

Fair enough! Any idea why the registration page shows an "Individual Price" of $85, not the $75 stated in the October 14 invitation email from news@siteground.com?
Tina
Looks like this has been their early bird rate. Even though it's no longer available, the 20% discount is still good so feel free to use it.

Just landed in Houston from Los Angeles. Looking forward to having a Joomla site. Would love to learn everything about the benefits of Joomla and Joomla Day.
