What Are Credits?

In Coderick AI, a credit is the unit that measures the amount of data processed and provided by the AI model(s) as part of Coderick AI.

Every piece of action – from your request – to the AI model’s Output, is broken down into credits. The number of credits used depends on how long and complex your request, SiteGround’s system instructions and the AI model’s Output are.

Each time you send a message through the Coderick AI’s interface to create or modify your website, application, or other type of digital project (“Project”), a portion of credits is deducted from your allowance. This includes cases where your request is processed but the desired Output cannot be provided due to content restrictions, applicable policies and/or terms violations, and/or legal compliance requirements – since the system still uses credits to analyze and evaluate your Input before generating the Output.

How Credit Calculation Works?

Every AI-powered task in Coderick AI involves two types of credits:

  • Credits used for the Input – the data submitted to the AI model (prompts, including SiteGround’s additional system instructions and files you upload, if any);
  • Credits used for the Output – the AI model’s generated response (including but not limited to code generation and code changes to the Project, creation and updates to the database, use and modification of fonts and styles, inclusion and/or generation of images, and/or other media and materials contained therein).

The total amount of the credits used is the sum of the Input and Output credits.

The amount of credits spent depends on the complexity of the task.

Here’s what that means in practice:

  • Creating a new Project: Creating a new Project with a prompt often uses more credits than usual because Coderick AI is generating an entire Project, including but not limited to structure, design, database, files, code, and other digital content.
  • Asking questions without code changes: Simple questions, requesting explanations or guidance that don’t require generating new code will cost fewer credits.
  • Complexity matters: The more complex and/or lengthy your request (e.g., adding, modifying or replacing features, files, custom logic, or integrations), the more credits Coderick AI may consume.

Monitoring Your Credit Usage

You can track your current credit usage directly inside the Coderick AI interface at any time.

Credits Reset

The number of credits included in your paid Coderick AI plan resets automatically each month. Unused credits do not carry over to the next monthly period. You may review the scheduled reset date at any time in the Client Area and/or in the Coderick AI interface.

Credits included in a Coderick AI free trial plan may be used only within the limited period of time specified by SiteGround at its sole discretion on the SiteGround website and do not reset.

Additional one-time credits

If you need more credits than what is included with your paid Coderick plan, you can purchase additional one-time credits from your Client Area > Services > Coderick AI > press the Settings button of the chosen Coderick plan > select “Add credits”. You will be able to choose from different packages ranging from 100 000 to 5 000 000 credits.

These additional credits are one-time purchases, non-refundable, and have a limited lifespan. To have at least one full month to use the purchased credits, the expiration date will be set to the second credit reset date from the time of purchase of the package. You can check the expiration date of each additional credit package in the Settings page of each active Coderick plan.

Once purchased, the credits from any active additional packages will be automatically consumed if you no longer have available credits that are included with your plan. If you have more than one package of additional credits, any usage will be automatically deducted from the oldest package.
