In this guide, you will learn how to delete a page from your website or online store built with Website Builder or SiteGround Ecommerce.
IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that if you delete a page, it cannot be recovered. Alternatively, if you want to hide a page temporarily, set the page status to Draft.
Here is how you can delete a page in Website Builder and Ecommerce:
Inside your website’s Site Admin, click Edit Website.
Open the Pages tab from the left menu toolbar.
In the left Pages menu, navigate to the Global Pages, where you can see all published and draft pages.
Hover over the page you wish to delete.
A Settings (kebab) menu will appear next to it. Click on it, and select Delete.
NOTE! The Home and Store Templates (for Ecommerce) pages are created by default. You can’t delete them.
In the pop-up warning, press Confirm to delete the page.
IMPORTANT! If you delete a page, all menu items associated with it will be removed from the website menus. Alternatively, you can temporarily deactivate the page and hide its menu items by choosing Make Draft.
How to delete a page (Classic builder)
Below, you’ll find the steps to delete a page:
Inside your website’s Site Admin, click Edit Website.
Open the Pages tab.
Navigate to the Live Pages or Draft Pages section, where you can see published or draft pages.
Hover over the page you wish to delete.
A three-dot menu will appear next to it. Click on it, and select Delete.
NOTE! The Home page is created by default. You can’t delete it.
