Simple Stock Management

With this mode enabled, you can make the product available or unavailable. Simply open the Quantity dropdown menu and select In Stock or Out of Stock.

Quantity options for simple stock management

The simple stock management option is recommended for non-physical products, which are not limited by physical quantities. Such are training courses, downloadable files, music, images, video, etc.

Advanced (Track quantity)

In Advanced mode, you can set a predetermined number of available units in the Quantity field. The store will then automatically decrease the number of available units upon the submission of a new order for the product.

Quantity options for advanced stock management

The advanced mode is suitable for physical products with a limited number of units.

NOTE! Remember to update the Quantity field after re-stocking the product to ensure the store doesn’t show the product as out of stock. For example, if you have 1 remaining T-shirt, and you’ve re-stocked 10 more, change the Quantity value to 11.

Stock Management for Product Variations

You may offer products in different variations. In this case, each variation will be listed under the Pricing & Inventory section with its own Quantity field. You can set a separate stock availability for each variation. This option is available in both simple and advanced stock management.
