SiteGround Stands with Ukraine
We are heartbroken by the events unfolding in Ukraine and the toll it takes on civilians. We’ve received many concerned thoughtful notes from clients, and while we do not have offices or employees in Ukraine, we stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, because a stand for Ukraine is a stand for peace.
Here are some of the actions we’re taking within our scope to show our support in these extremely difficult times for all.
Helping Ukrainian Customers with Free Hosting
* Free renewal of hosting accounts of clients from Ukraine – we are extending all expiring hosting accounts of clients from Ukraine for free;
* Free hosting for new signups from Ukraine – all new hosting accounts of clients from Ukraine are currently free of charge;
Helping Ukrainian kids to continue their education
We will donate laptops to an organization helping Ukrainian kids who had to leave their homeland and take refuge abroad to continue their education. This will be an ongoing effort, since we believe supporting children to go back to their usual routines as much as possible in these extremely difficult times is essential.
Helping Ukrainians with job opportunities
* Proactively reaching out to Ukrainian people with job opportunities – our team is proactively sharing job opportunities with local organizations working to help Ukrainians looking for work opportunities abroad;
Raising Awareness
It is astounding to see the world is uniting against violence and looking for ways to help. However, nearly 150 million Russian citizens are not fully aware about the course and the scale of the actions in Ukraine for various reasons, including media and Internet censorship. That’s why we decided to try and convey a direct message to them.
In addition to not accepting new orders from Russia, from today all Russian traffic going to our main website is redirected to a page showing our plea to stand for peace and end violence.

All SiteGround clients wishing to express their solidarity with Ukraine and help raise awareness can also add this page to their website for their Russian website visitors. If you’re a SiteGround client and wish to join our initiative, log in to your Client Areа and go to your website Site Tools section to show our Stand With Ukraine page to all traffic coming from Russia to your website with a click.

We sincerely hope for an expedient path to peace. Together we can make an impact.

Love the Idea and did it, but why is it in English?

Vitaliy
Many thanks to your team for active stance on russian aggression against Ukraine and your support!

Could that single message also explain why it is a war and why we are against it? Otherwise it's just a headline that disagrees with what their state media is telling them...

Thanks for the recommendation, I will pass it on to the team.

Great initiative
Stanislav

Good work. Great to have the option to display a Ukrainian page for solidarity on our websites.

Does this initiative of free web hosting sign-ups only include new clients located in Ukraine? What about refugees based outside of Ukraine at the moment? Can we also take advantage of this generous offer?
Hristo Pandjarov Siteground Team
We will get in touch with you over Email :)

Glad to see you taking a stand. And while (most) Russian civilians are innocent in all this while being lied to by the Kremlin, it would be nice to hosting services such as yourselves adding messages and warnings to the backends of Russian sites hosted by you advising the webmasters of what is actually going. Like links to live RSS feeds or Twitter so they can see for themselves.

Thanks for supporting Ukraine. Please write more about this war. I use this banner, but I don't like that russians are called "our Russian friends". The russian nazis are killing my friends in Kyiv, Mariupol (our biggest pain), and shooting at my Odesa. They are enemies forever.
Edward
This is great, thanks for doing this, Nikolay!
